TITLE: human figure project
Describe
the way in which I made my piece was very simple, I used 11x14 paper and pencil, along with my pens and copic markers. this piece shows a character of mine named alice, surrounded by bubbles (which is her super power) and falling down with large angel wings spread out behind her. her hero name is 'angel' which is why there are angel wings and other aspects.

Analyze
three principles of design that are included in this piece are movement, because of how smooth alice is falling down. another one is contrast, because of how smoothly the shadows are done, and the last one is rhythm, the smooth line and the warm colors, the bubbles are placed behind alice, to show thats her main thing. I would like people to start from her face to the way her hands are reaching up and then to the bubbles and then her dress. this mainly focuses on mythology (very loosely) and such.

Interpretation
The symbolism of this piece is actually simple. alice is a character who's suffered a hard childhood, losing her parents to a psychopathic lady, that calls herself 'mama' and then being kept as a prisoner by said lady, she then grew up with a lovely adopted family and became the angel in every one's life, doing all she could to help others, but as she grew she also suffered new hardships, but in the end her symbolic wings helped her fly above it all and continue being an amazing angel. I hope that people perceive my piece with a feeling of warmth, and a sense of inspiration.

Judgement
In this piece I am quite proud of my color blending, I definitely Improved on that front, as that was something I had struggled with quite a bit, Another thing I think I did well, was my anatomy, for my first big side view, I feel as if it was a success, however, the facial and body proportions could use some work, as they were a bit sloppy, but in the past couple of months I have definitely improved in many things, the color blending being a big example, I definitely hope to improve further.
